Kat Pendergrass, Nursery Care Provider
Kat, originally from Nashville, Tennessee, is a student at Lewis & Clark College, where they are studying Biology, Data Science, and Chemistry. They hope to one day work in a natural history museum, conducting research, designing exhibits, and sharing their love of science and nature with others.
Kat began working in child care at age 11 as an assistant in their own church’s nursery, a role they stepped into due to the absence of peers their age. Since then, they have taken on a wide range of responsibilities within childcare, from driving sleepy children to school in the mornings to managing classrooms full of energy.
Kat finds great joy in working with children and is excited to become a part of the LOUCC community, getting to know its members both big and small.
