Katie Diaz, Director of Faith Development
Katie Diaz is a student at George Fox University, studying Christian Ministries and Entrepreneurship with the intention of working as a lead pastor in a church and owning a nonprofit. In high school, she was active in church and youth group, participating in many mission trips. This experience ultimately led to her calling to serve others and work in the church. Eventually, she felt called to George Fox, where she continues to listen and watch for where God will lead her.
Born in Salt Lake City, Utah and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Katie grew up at Tri Lakes United Methodist Church in Monument, CO. In summer 2018, she served as their Youth Intern, working to create programming and build relationships with middle and high school students. Katie is passionate about building relationships and creating a safe and inclusive environment for everyone to explore their faith and personal passions.
Katie’s hobbies include photography, playing basketball, reading, and exploring Oregon. She loves french fries, going to the beach, listening to all types of music, drinking tea, and hanging out with her friends. Katie currently lives in Newberg at George Fox University.
